Future Green Global is a boutique sustainability consultancy specialising in creating engaging and actionable solutions to help businesses in the food and drink industry design sustainable strategies.
Our Food, Our Future Unconference 3.0 is a pioneering event that brings together global sustainability change-makers to share insights, connect, and drive forward-innovative solutions.
As we gear up for the next iteration of this highly acclaimed event, we’re looking for an experienced and passionate Events Manager to lead its planning, coordination, and execution.
Role Overview:
The Events Manager will oversee all aspects of planning and delivering the next Our Food, Our Future Unconference. This role requires excellent organisational, communication, and creative skills to ensure a seamless and impactful event.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Event Planning & Logistics
- Develop and manage the event timeline, budget, and production schedule based on previous iteration.
- Coordinate venue, vendors, catering, and audiovisual needs.
- Handle event parking permits.
2. Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with the Future Green Global team to align the event’s theme and objectives with our sustainability mission.
- Engage with sponsors, partners, and speakers to ensure a robust and diverse lineup.
- Foster relationships with attendees, including corporate leaders, change-makers, and F&B professionals.
3. Program Development
- Work closely with subject-matter experts to curate engaging and interactive sessions.
- Incorporate innovative and participatory formats to reflect the “unconference” spirit.
- Coordinate speaker logistics, including briefing, travel, and accommodations.
4. Marketing & Promotion
- Design social media strategy. Partner with the marketing to drive event awareness and registrations through social media, email campaigns, and partnerships.
- Develop event collateral, including agendas, attendee guides, and signage with FG team.
- Serve as the event’s primary contact for media inquiries.
5. Event Delivery & Post-Event Reporting
- Oversee day-of operations, including registration, attendee experience, and troubleshooting.
- Conduct post-event evaluations and support team to prepare a summary report to capture learnings and impact metrics.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience managing events, ideally in sustainability, food, or innovation sectors.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Creativity and attention to detail, ensuring high-quality execution.
- Experience in managing budgets and sponsorships.
- Proficiency with event, comms management tools (e.g., Kit, Slack).
- Passion for sustainability and alignment with Future Green Global’s mission.
