Last week, we hit a huge milestone: we’ve been officially recertified as a B Corporation! 🎉
This recognition isn’t just a stamp of approval — it’s a deep affirmation of how we show up, what we value, and the kind of change we’re working to drive every day.
As a consultancy focused on sustainable food systems across the globe, we know that transformation doesn’t happen with slogans. It happens through strategy, systems, and the courage to make hard choices. That’s what B Corp is about. And going through the recertification process — again — reminded us exactly why we’re on this path.
What It Means to Be a B Corp
B Corp Certification is awarded by B Lab, a global nonprofit that’s redefining what it means to be a successful business. It’s not about being the best in the world — it’s about being the best for the world.
To become a B Corp, companies undergo a rigorous assessment of their impact across five areas: governance, workers, community, environment, and customers. You can’t just talk the talk — you have to prove it, with policies, practices, and measurable outcomes. Companies must recertify every three years, with standards that evolve over time.

Why It Matters to Us
We didn’t pursue B Corp certification for the bragging rights. We did it because it holds us to a higher standard — one we believe every company should be aiming for.
Our work is rooted in helping food and drinks brands, foodservice teams, chefs, and large-scale operators make sustainability actionable — from climate-smart menus and regenerative supply chains to employee training and ESG strategy. The B Impact Assessment pushes us to reflect on the way we operate. Not just the services we offer — but how we treat our team, how we show up in our community, how transparent our operations are, and how aligned we are with our mission.
And let’s be honest: this process isn’t easy. And that’s exactly the point.
What We’ve Learned From Recertification
This journey wasn’t just a paperwork exercise. It was a strategic mirror. Here’s what stood out:
- Saying “sustainability matters” is easy. Building it into every decision? That’s the real work.
- Culture is strategy. You can have all the frameworks in the world, but if your team doesn’t believe in the mission, none of it sticks.
- Measurement is essential — but not the endgame. You need metrics, yes. But the magic lives in how those metrics spark action, engagement, and transformation.
These lessons now shape how we approach every client project — whether it’s a kitchen decarbonisation sprint, a supplier engagement program, or a training series for internal champions.
