Sustainability is not just about what’s best for the environment, it is also vital to consider what’s best for the long-term wellbeing of society, which is why society is one of the three pillars in the Food Made Good Framework. In this Member Spotlight, we take a closer look at Supplier Member Cookie Smiles, a social enterprise whose purpose is to offer training opportunities for the disadvantaged and provide jobs for the physically impaired, while supporting two chosen charities per year via fundraising. Since their launch in June 2020, Cookie Smiles have already raised over $70,000 for Splash Foundation and the Hong Kong Down Syndrome Association! Check out this neat little video featuring Co-Founder Jo Soo-Tang and two of their partners, Hysan Development and the Ladies’ Recreation Club, explaining why it is important to them to support their community.

By connecting sustainably-minded schools, corporates, restaurants and suppliers with social enterprises and small businesses, Food Made Good is hoping to bring the community together around sustainability so that we can accelerate the change we need to see towards a sustainable future. We can’t wait to bring you more community stories!
