We’re in the local press! Students are our future leaders and this is why we closely work with them on sustainability projects. The University of Hong Kong  launched the MSocSc Sustainability Leadership and Governance programme in 2016. The following is an excerpt from the MingPao’s Education edition – JUMP about our collaboration together on the students’ capstone project.  Here’s the translation into English:

As Dr. Law says, students have to submit their Capstone Project before their graduation by working with companies and other institutions on the topic of sustainable development. Through integrating theory and practice, students can gain practical work experience. One of the partnering organisations of the course this year is Food Made Good. This organization mainly supports the F&B industry to operate in a more sustainable manner, such as introducing the concept of sustainable development to chefs, promoting and ordering sustainable seafood, increasing vegetarian options, reducing food waste etc. Based on actual needs, they would put forward feasible solutions to help build a more sustainable food system.

She continued that, in response to various topics, the course will invite industry leaders to share their experiences on sustainable development. Speakers come from Yau Lee Group from the construction industry, New World Group, Nan Fung Group; Sino Hotels Group from the hotel industry; and Green Common promoting vegetarian etc.
